You Are Not Alone
There are moments when the world feels overwhelming. Truth feels compromised. Culture feels loud. Faithfulness can make you feel isolated, like you are standing by yourself.
Elijah knew that feeling.
After confronting the prophets of Baal, he fled in fear and discouragement. He told God he was the only one left who had remained faithful. In his exhaustion, his vision narrowed. All he could see was opposition.
But God corrected him.
In 1 Kings 19:18, the Lord said He had reserved 7,000 Israelites who had not bowed the knee to Baal and whose mouths had not kissed him. Elijah was never alone. There was a faithful remnant he simply could not see.
Discouragement has a way of shrinking our perspective. We mistake what we feel for what is true.
And notice how God responded.
He gave Elijah rest.
He gave him nourishment.
Then He gave him renewed purpose and direction.
Before expanding his mission, God restored his strength.
When the way of the world feels discouraging, the answer is not panic or isolation. It is restoration. It is remembering that God is always at work beyond what you can see. There are more standing firm than you realize.
You may feel alone in your convictions.
You may feel outnumbered in your workplace.
You may feel weary in your faith.
But you are not alone.
God still preserves a remnant. He still strengthens the weary. He still gives fresh vision after seasons of exhaustion.
